Archbold High School Spring Musical ParticipationThis year, AHS is producing "Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" for our annual spring musical! This show requires a large chorus ensemble to add to the fun, colorful and upbeat music, and we will be involving a limited number of middle school students in the show as part of the children's chorusIf you are interested in participating in this year's musical, click here to complete the online Google FormThis does NOT guarantee you a spot; rather, by submitting this form, you are indicating your interest and will receive information later in December about possible auditions for middle school students. (Middle schoolers are not permitted to audition for character roles for a high school show.)

 

Christmas Cheer: The student council will be collecting items for Fulton County Christmas Cheer starting today.  1st Period teachers should keep track of their items collected as the 1st period class which brings in the most items will win a pizza party compliments of the student council.  Items that are accepted include: Canned Goods, Non-perishable food items such as Granola Bars, Peanut Butter, Crackers, Rice-a-roni.  Other items acceptable are soap, coffee, dish towels, etc. The can collecting will last this week only.  For every dollar turned in your 1st period class will get credit for 2 items being collected.  Thank you for supporting this worthy cause.

 

Mindset Monday: Build Your Dream Team

Your dream team are the people who help you be your best and encourage you to be your healthy and happy best self. Team members may be friends, family, teachers, coaches or other significant adults in your life. Simply stated, your ideal team members show up, encourage and remain loyal to “your team.”

 

Challenge: Who would you name as “starting players” on your 2023-dream team and who will you “recruit” for your 2024 team?

Archbold ROCKS: Archbold ROCKS will start the Tuesday following Thanksgiving break.  Archbold ROCKS provides homework help and enrichment or recreational activities from 3pm - 5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at AMS for any registered 5th-8th grade student.  Students can pick up a registration form from the main office.  Students must have a completed registration form on file before attending.

 

Streak Shop:  We are seeking donations of stain/hole free Archbold clothing for our Archbold Streak Shop.  Donations can be brought to the middle school office. Could you use FREE gently used Bluestreak clothing?  If so, please fill out the Google Form below and make sure the information is accurate.  Our goal is to help every student have the chance to show their Bluestreak Spirit! Christmas Cheer: Christmas cheer will continue through this week.  Last year Archbold Middle School was the leading contributor to the Fulton County Food Drive and this year we need your help again.  The first period class that brings in the most items this week will receive a pizza party from the student council.  1st period teachers please keep track of the items your class brings in.  Each item counts as 1 and every dollar collected counts as two items.  Thank you for helping us reach our goal of 1500 items!


Lost & Found: Please look through the items on the lost and found table in the cafeteria and take what is yours. We will be taking the leftover items to Care and Share after Christmas break.

Book Fair: The Scholastic Book Fair is Here!  

Tonight is Family Night from 4 pm - 8 pm

For each book purchased during the Family Night Event, students will get a spin of the AMS Wheel of Fortune for a prize!

 

Dodgeball During Lunchtime: The student council will be hosting a dodgeball tournament the first week of December.  Teams can consist of 5 or 6 players.  If you are interested in signing up and playing on a team, please write down the name of your team, your team captain, what grade you are in, and all 5 or 6 of your team members.  Please sign up by Monday to be eligible for the tournament.  The cost to play is $1 per person.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. PE Miller or any student council member.

Christmas for Kids in Fulton County:


To celebrate the holiday season all Fulton County Police and Fire/EMS Departments will be sponsoring the seasonal program, Christmas for Kids in Fulton County. This program allows first responders a chance to build a positive relationship with children in our communities and spend one-on-one time with those families who are having financial issues.

 

In order to facilitate this program, they are asking for donations to help spread cheer and help children look forward to the upcoming holiday season. If you feel this program may be able to help you with gifts and a resident of Fulton County, applications are available to submit for consideration.

 

Information is available through the school office or you can contact SRO Slough at nslough@archboldschools.org for more information.

Come to St. Martin’s Lutheran Church at 203 S. Defiance Street, Archbold on Saturday November 18th from 9am-12pm. To qualify you can either live in Archbold, attend an Archbold church or have a child that attends Archbold Schools.
