AMS Students Help Out Haiti - Recently, the students of Archbold Middle School held a fundraising drive to assist the American Red Cross in collecting funds to provide relief for the earthquake-ravaged nation of Haiti.  The fundraiser, which netted over $1000, was the idea of sixth grade student, Braden Dunning, a student in Mrs. Luderman’s third period world geography class.  After a class discussion regarding the earthquake, Braden asked if there was something that the students of AMS could to to help.  The students and their teacher soon formed a plan of action to raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause.  Students researched Haiti to write announcements that were read every morning.  Other class members served as money-collectors and counters, and were responsible for record-keeping.  Others yet made posters to hang around the school to inform the student body of the fundraising drive.   Great job in assisting other citizens of the world in their time of need, AMS!

Eighth grade students show off their stuff! - Students recently completed a pillow project where they learned some basic hand and machine stitching.

A Real Experience! - The 8th grade students took part in the Real Care Baby Infant Simulator experience.

Grandparent's/Retirees' Day - Our 11th annual grandparents’ day was held on Friday, Oct. 9.  Over 180 grandparents/retirees in a class of 99 students took time out of their valuable schedules to be in attendance.  Our guests for the day were treated to a tour, fellowship, and a musical presentation provided by Mr. Kent Vandock and the 5th grade class.
